Town Meet & Greet, Featuring Annual Chili & Chowder, Books & Bakes, September 18

This year, the Friends of the Thomaston Public Library’s annual Chili & Chowder, Books & Bakes fundraiser will be joined by a Town Meet & Greet! On Saturday, September 18 (rain date September 25), meet your local town officials as well as other community organizations to discuss your ideas and concerns for Thomaston from 11:30 AM to 1 PM on the lawn at the Academy Building at 60 Main Street while also enjoying a cup of delicious chili or chowder, tasty baked goods, and plenty of great books for sale! The suggested donation for the chili or chowder lunch is $6, but everyone is welcome to a hot meal, regardless of ability to donate. Baked goods and books will be priced as marked. Local artist Linden O’Ryan has also just donated a number of her absolutely amazing greeting cards, which will be available for $5 each (the holidays are approaching – it’s a great time to stock up!). All proceeds will benefit 40 Days of Summer.
